Manage sign-in

The simplest way to avoid sign-in problems is to keep using the same login method you used when the account was created.

Use one of these methods:

  • Email and password
  • Apple
  • Google
  • GitHub
  • Microsoft

If you originally signed up with Apple, Google, GitHub, or Microsoft, keep signing in that way. (You can add a password to a social-login account — see below — and then either method works.)

If you use email and password:

  1. Open the sign-in page.
  2. Choose Forgot password?.
  3. Follow the reset link in your email.
  4. Set a new password.
  1. Open Settings (your account page).
  2. Under your account details, choose Change password — or Set password, if you signed up with a social login and don’t have one yet.
  3. Enter your current password (when you have one) and the new one, then save.

Setting a password on a social-login account gives you a second way in — useful if you ever lose access to the Apple, Google, GitHub, or Microsoft account.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose Change email and enter the new address.
  3. Complete the confirmation step Bredbox emails you.

You need a password on the account before you can change its email address — set one first if you signed up with a social login. And use an address you can access long term, especially if you rely on password resets or billing emails.

I know my email is right, but I still can’t sign in

Check whether you’re using the wrong provider. A Google-based account won’t work in the email-and-password form unless you’ve set a password for it.

Return to your verification email and finish the original setup flow first.

Request a new one and use the newest email only.
