Manage your plan and data
This page is the best place to start when your question is really about account access, billing state, or ownership of your data.
Understand your trial and plans
Section titled “Understand your trial and plans”New accounts start with a 30-day Basic trial and do not require a credit card up front.
Basic is the full Bredbox experience — saving, reading, organizing, importing, and exporting are all there. Pro adds the developer toolkit on top:
| Plan | Best for | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Most people | Unlimited saves, collections, reading views, highlights, browser extension, search, imports, exports, and privacy controls |
| Pro | Power users and developers | Everything in Basic, plus REST API access, webhooks, and the MCP server for AI assistants |
Current prices are on bredbox.app/pricing.
Manage your subscription
Section titled “Manage your subscription”Open Settings → Billing when you want to:
- Upgrade
- Downgrade
- Cancel
- Resume a canceled subscription
- Review your current billing state
What read-only mode means
Section titled “What read-only mode means”If your trial expires or your paid subscription lapses, your account moves into read-only mode. Your library is not deleted, and you can still:
- View your existing saves
- Export your data
- Update account credentials
- Resubscribe
What you cannot do in read-only mode:
- Add new saves
- Edit existing content
- Use API access
Resubscribing restores everything as it was.
Export, clear, or delete data
Section titled “Export, clear, or delete data”Data ownership tasks are separate actions, so you always know what you’re choosing:
- Export creates a downloadable copy of your library. See Export your data.
- Clear data removes saved content while keeping your account.
- Delete account permanently closes the account after confirmation.
The last two live in the Privacy section of Settings — see Privacy controls before making destructive changes.
When to choose Pro
Section titled “When to choose Pro”Choose Pro if you want to automate or build on your library: API tokens, webhooks, or connecting an AI assistant.
