Download, print, and share

What you save in Bredbox isn’t locked in Bredbox. Any article or recipe with extracted content can leave as a file, a printout, or a link to a friend.

  1. Open the article or recipe in the reading view.
  2. Click Download in the toolbar.
  3. Pick a format:

The Download menu in the reader, offering HTML, Markdown, and PDF.

  • HTML — for offline reading in any browser.
  • Markdown — for your notes and apps like Obsidian. The file starts with the save’s details — title, source, authors, tags, reading status, and the date you saved it — so it drops neatly into a notes vault.
  • PDF — for printing and archives.

Image saves get a Download image button instead, whenever Bredbox holds a copy of the image.

For your whole library at once, use Export your data instead.

Click Print in the reader toolbar (or press P) and Bredbox opens a print-friendly version — the clean article or recipe view, formatted for paper. Recipes print like proper recipe cards.

  1. Click Share in the reader toolbar.
  2. Copy URL puts the link on your clipboard — the button flips to “Copied!” so you know it worked.
  3. Or add a short note and share straight to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Bluesky.

Sharing sends the original page’s link, so the person you share with doesn’t need Bredbox.
