Export your data

Your library is yours. Export it whenever you want a backup, need to review your data outside Bredbox, or plan to move to another tool — no questions asked.

  1. Open Settings → Exports.
  2. Choose Export.
  3. Choose a format: Full archive (Pocket ZIP) or Bookmarks HTML.
  4. Confirm that you want Bredbox to create the archive.
  5. Download the ZIP file when it’s ready.

Bredbox emails you when the export is ready, and the email names the format you chose.

Everything in your account, in the widely-supported Pocket ZIP layout:

  • Saves as CSV files
  • Collections as a structured data file
  • Metadata and tags
  • Saved article content
  • Highlights, together with any comments you added to them

Choose this for a complete backup, to import back into Bredbox later, or to move to any service that accepts Pocket archives.

A single bookmarks.html file listing your saves with their titles, add dates, and tags, in the standard format every web browser and most bookmarking services can import.

It includes your archived saves as well as your unread ones, and excludes anything in Trash. It does not include collections, saved article content, highlights, or comments.

Choose this when you want to move your links into a browser or another bookmarking service.

Both formats arrive as a ZIP file.

Generated exports are available for 72 hours, whichever format you chose. Download the file soon after it is ready — if the window passes, just request a new export.

Bredbox allows one export request every 24 hours, shared across both formats. Wait for the current export to finish before requesting another one.
